Can a white person wear a bonnet to bed?

Let’s get something straight. Black people did not ‘make’ or invent sleeping caps. Europeans did long ago. At one time, probably ALL white women wore them to keep their hair in place while they slept. Older white women still do after going to the hair salon. Their hair tends to be dry and for that reason they may not wash as frequently as younger women. They will go to the salon and have their hair washed and set (styled). Then they will sleep in a ‘bonnet’ or sleeping cap to protect their hairstyle.

Women also used them decades ago when many women slept in hair curlers, hair pins, or rag curlers. They kept the curlers in place. How can people be so unthinking? Sleeping caps are most definitely not a thing that blacks created and that is for their exclusive use! How absurd. They have just fallen out of favor with white women because of modern technology. Better styling tools and aids have reduced the need to use them.
